Strategic Leadership International - Presentations and Networks | |||
| On the last day of the Programme participants make their recommendations for change and implementation of the assignment projects. Top Managers and Clinicians meet the Programme Sponsors for an intense 15 minute period during which each consultancy team is asked to present their recommendations and answer questions. Such a narrow period of time requires careful planning and rehearsals to ensure you engage and provoke your audience. Such a situation is close to real life when you meet the media, hospital Manager, a Minister or a Management Board. To transform all the information you have collected and analysed from 20 days into a 15 minute presentation is a challenging task. Sponsors are always impressed by the high quality of the reports and the extent to which the Consultants have delivered real insight into the problems identified. | ||||
| "It was enlightening to observe how care operates in another country. Meeting leaders from English healthcare and being able to discuss and analyse management and leadership in the two organisations was also a valuable experience. As a participant I learned a method to analyse quickly how an organisation works and to identify its strengths and weaknesses - and gain a real insight into the importance of participation "all along the way" when making changes. The experience of the Programme taught me the importance of leaders expectations, communicative ability and confidence the participants have for the groups input and end results as a whole. I have since frequently applied the approach as I saw used by a Leader of the Programme in my own work. It was naturally also beneficial to me to interact with health officials and politicians and see how they think and work." | ||||
