Strategic Leadership Foundations
We have developed an approach to action learning as a result of running a European Leadership Programme with well over 100 senior Managers and Practitioners from Scandinavia and the UK participating.
A common theme has been to focus on leadership, performance and outcome.
"Being part of the collaboration has made me more humble. I now think I understand that implementing changes in such huge organisations like healthcare systems is not easy, but it can be done in a good and respectful way. I think this Programme developed on the national basis would get greater involvement and understanding of the systems as a whole amongst healthcare workers. This kind of programme is well invested money for the taxpayers."

The consultancy process takes approximately 2 weeks including plenary sessions, team work and field work. The Programmes usually run over a 2 month period.
The most recent assignments have included:
1. Integrating political, clinical and managerial effort to improve the health of the population
2. Shaping workforce to meet future needs
3. Managing chronic disease outside hospitals
4. Involving patients in planning and delivery of services to improve care and rehabilitation
5. Improving patients’ choice and access
6. Improving patient safety by minimising treatment risk and intervening to avoid decline
7. The e-patient - implications for health and social care
8. Re-assessing incentives in order to improve collaboration and delivery between hospitals, Primary Care and the Private Sector
The target group for Programme participants is Senior Clinicians and Managers from healthcare and social care organisations who are at a position in their organisation and at a level of motivation and seniority to achieve significant change. For many of the participants the programmes have been an essential part of an accelerated leadership development programme.
